The effects? Dazzling. The production? First rate…The action sequences? Well scripted, well put together, and well shot…
The story? Absolutely horrible...
The movie only addresses the Mayan prophecy in passing, as a casual connection at best, which is what the whole premise is supposed to be based on…As for the ending, some afternoon fresh air in the sun, I don't know about anyone else, but if I were a survivor on that ark, I'd be pretty freaked out about dealing with 7 billion people losing their lives in the blink of an eye...The movie again examines it in passing - the anguish of lost loved ones, the horrifying realization that the world we knew is gone forever...
Very disappointing…
No, I do not recommend this movie.
