Just plain fun!

2012 is just plain fun! It never takes itself to seriously and is able to make fun of itself. Yes the dialogue is corny, yes the story line is weak, and yes there are plot holes galore. But Director Roland Emmerich simply has fun destroying western culture. The special effects are tremendous. John Cusack and Amanda Peet do an excellent job. And newcomer Chiwetel Ejiofor is great!
Go see it on the big screen. If you don't take this movie more seriously than it takes itself, you'll enjoy the special effects, you'll get into the narrative, and you'll laugh. This isn't a movie you're going to buy on DVD or watch two years from know on a Saturday afternoon.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
