All I can say is OMG! The life this girl had to life was deplorable. No child should have to suffer like Precious Jones did. Mo'Nique acted her behind off. Rather unusual seeing her out of her element. Just so that you do not disappointed, see the movie before you read the book.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
