Engaging story. Nice tie ins to the original, but you don't have to be a hard core Star Trek person who knows all the old stuff, to be able to enjoy this.
Plot moves along nicely, no dead spots. Lots of action. Great visuals. Ended as expected - the good guys win, and there is hope for another adventure to come.
Only downside - some of the scenes in the movie had a jerky feel to them - which I found it to be visually distracting.
Bottom line - Go see this. It's good. It's one of those movies I'd see more than once in the theater, and I'll be buying the DVD/BlueRay when that comes out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
