This movie followed the book more so than the others in the series have so far. While Robert Pattinson seemed to have been able to pull off the vampiric ferocity he was lacking in the first movies, Taylor Lautner still continues to dominate the screen with his superior acting skills; even the kiss shared between Bella and Jacob possessed a passion that is absent between Bella and Edward on screen. My only complaint is that while the wolf pack's true identity as shapeshifters (not werewolves) was mentioned, it should have been more enunciated due to the importance of this fact. They are not, in fact, werewolves at all and have complete control of themselves while in the morphed state of wolf. The fact that Sam did not maul his girlfriend (it was, in fact, the other girl he was dating before he imprinted) was not mentioned. These facts are important to emphasize that the wolf pack is not dangerous unless you happen to be a vampire. This movie is not a dissapointment if you read the books before watching it and it brings hope to the possibility that the Twilight series movies get better each time they are made.
