You instantly fall for the two boys in this film. Their characters are so right on and you're rooting for them the whole way. Even if you don't know much about Ireland, or better yet, Ireland in the 70s, you will surely get a kick out of what they had to endure being shipped off to a bunch of old maid aunts in the middle of nowhere while longing for the Mets and the "good life" back in the States. The references to the differences between the two countries are hilarious! And although pornography may seem a likely addition to spice up a very conservative environment, the way it's done in this plot is genius.
