Most Depressing Movie Ever

I'm straddling the fence on this review because I can't determine if Precious is one of the best or worst movies I've ever seen; however, it is by far the most depressing. On the one hand, the actors did an amazing job bringing the characters to life. On the other hand, there were not nearly enough highs to balance the extreme lows in this film. Though it was well-made and may be healing for those who can relate to "Precious," I did not leave the theatre feeling hopeful. Instead, I left feeling deeply saddened and emotionally disturbed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
