It was great to see the characters "come alive" but that's where the good part ends. I felt the scenes were too choppy, the music sucked, and the makeup/hair of some of the characters were ridiculous. Not too mention that a lot of the book was skipped. Granted, it's a movie and not everything from the book can be placed in a 2-hour slot. But key points from the book was not included which I expected to see. I'll get the DVD when it comes out ... eventually, just because it's part of the series. The New Moon book was not my favorite of the series but it definitely is better than the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
