Its like "Independence Day" and "Day After Tommorow", but better. Its got the corny humor but not as bad as Independence Day. And the story and action is way better than "Day After Tommorow." If you dont know much about the theories behind 2012 I suggest you read up a little before you see the movie because there isnt much explanation as to why these events are happening in the movie. It basically just says that the solar waves from the sun cause the middle core of the earth to melt and seperate itself from the Earth's crust which causes the earth to spin on its axis and create worldwide disaster. But there isnt much explanation as to the rest of the theories behind this and why some scientists believe this could actually happen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
