For small kids

This movie was poorly written. So poorly that I couldn't wait for it to be over. It shows you just how good they are over at Pixar where they can have different levels for grown-ups and children. This movie had but one level and that was for small children. Wish I could have my time and money back.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Turned Out Good

The first part of this movie was not interesting at all. All that hi-tech shooting was boring. Once past the opening scene things were much more interesting.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Why Did I Watch This

Tyler's movies have run out of ideas and steam. This movie is a mess and the ending was truly what you called "tacked on." Just to clear his mind, he should go in a different direction completely and do a outer space movie or a horror film (lol). I think his fans are blindly following at this point. You can't have that much drama going on and then try to conviently clean it up and then end the movie the way he did. It didn't work and was very obvious. The 2 stars are Tasha Smith who was the most amusing character.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Well Done

I'm a big sword & sandal fan. I have very fond memories of them from when I was a youngster. My wife and I saw this despite some negative rumors and after it was over we both said we liked it. The story is easy to follow and understand, the acting was good and though I've seen better 3D the special effects were good too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Enjoyed It

I still wanted to see this movie even after most of the critics tore it up. In the end, you either go with them or make your own decision. I enjoyed it very much. It had atmosphere, the performances were good and the events taking place were not isolated to a few individual like some horror movies are. I find it more realistic and interesting when town folk and in this case the whole of London was aware of the creature. Some critics hyped the gore but my wife and I didn't think it was any more gory than other similar movies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Generic, Lightweight Dialogue

The dialogue was so simple that it brought attention to it itself. It undermined the movie for me and I couldn't stop thinking about how second tier it was. Half the stuff said was so pedestrian and boring that it kept me from getting into the characters. Weavers and Rodridquez characters didn't say one thing that had any weight to it nor did anyone else. Overall, I liked the movie but the writing came off as something someone wrote from hearing cliches and from thinking it's cool to use once popular sayings that have come and gone. JC needed someone to be there to nudge him and say "um James, people stopped saying that stupid stuff (shut your pie hole, numnuts) a few years ago."
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Christ is the reason for the season

I'm a huge 3D fan so when I learned this movie was going to be in 3D and then took in the A Christmas Carol Train Tour this past summer, I couldn't wait to see it. I was not disappointed either as this is an excellent movie and a excellent showcase for 3D technology.
Just think, this same technology, this movie (and other 3D movies) will be available to consumers in 2010 when 3D HDTVs and 3D Blu-Ray players will be out and on the shelves of major retailers.
Am I the only one who noticed that the scene shown in the previews where the snowflake lands on Scrooge's nose and he blows it off was not even in the movie? I already told my wife that I want to see this again before Christmas.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
