hollywood should take notes

i hope hollywood is taking notes- this movie just proves that original work can still make an impact- i give it 5 stars simply because of the love that was put into the work- you can see this with every moment in the film- its not the greatest piece i have ever seen but its up there- and every good film still has flaws- the character development was thin but it made you focus on the indigenous creatures - you really felt for them- and im sure thats what he was going for- the story was simple, the score was good, and the visuals were breath taking- it was an experience you must see at an imax in 3D- i know im going to see it 2 more times- because people need to start supporting original work- go see it- please-

a near perfect sequel

absolutely near perfect- not to many sequels can say that- its no Empire, but still freakin good- i was pleased to see Troy Duffy use the same formula he used with the first- not trying to top himself he able to make sense of elements from the original- and thats all i wanted to see really- i just wanted to see Troy be Troy- and thats what i got- and one thing- im tired of hearing how hes trying to be like Quinton- wrong- Quinton's movies are BASED on great dialog- if anything Troy's influence's more resemble Guy Richie- Troys movies are just pure entertainment for all my senses- its a great sequel so check it out- its defiantly worth the ticket-

something fresh

what can i say- gripping from the start- troy duffy knows what he wants and he delivers- starting with action on through the humor he creates a balance thats pure pleasure for the senses- backed up by a great cast and some funny a** one liners i know i'll remember this one from years to come- its just nice to see some original work come out of Hollywood- definitely check it out when you can- you wont regret it-

where to begin? the first hour was just boring- nothing happened- all bella did was mope and lead jacob on- he was the only character i felt for- bella was just unbelievably selfish- the guy truly had feelings for her- he does all these things for and she totally leads him on- the dialog was boring and even the music was boring- i love slow music- but for every scene is a little much- and whats with the indian guys not wearing shirts in washington-day, night, in the rain at night- seriously- oh yeah- apparently vampires got over the sunlight thing- it just never phased 'em - if you want a good review on this movie check out -the spoony experiment- he covers it pretty well-

witty without being dumb

i gotta say i really enjoyed this flick- the animation was top notch and it really grabbed me from the start- i really enjoyed the actors in this movie- the voices really fit each character- there was silly childish humor along with a lot of adult humor surprisingly enough- i thought the star wars references were on point- but best of all i wasnt bored- i saw UP earlier this year and yes it was a very well made movie but there were just times were i was a little bored- im not knocking disney in any way- there artistic approach to animation is on a level of its own- but when i watch animated movies i want to be entertained- and this movie sure fit the bill- so go see it- you love it

beautiful drama

Its been a long time since ive seen a drama this good- it was intense, heartbreaking and rewarding through and through- the artistic way it was filmed and the score had me entertained while the casts interaction with each other kept me wanting for more- it just felt so real- i kept me thinking about all the real life situations people are goings though right now- all the pain and desire people go through and how others just try to bring them down-this was an emotional movie for me and i would recommend it to anyone-

under the radar

slipped right under the radar this one did- good story, well balanced with non ret*rded humor- and it had an amazing sound track- this one sucked me in right from jump- i loved how the political side of the plot wasnt so heavy and the rest just cruised with the multi sided aspect of the late sixties disc jockeys- it focused on the story of the common bond the guys had- and that was music- and of course you'll have your crazy fun but it wasnt over bearing with this film- it was just enough to keep you wanting more- and I did- good flick- check it out before its to late

not that good really

the movie really wasnt that good- look it up on wiki and check out the awards it won- it didnt win anything real- it won all of these kids awards- AND_THEY_DO_NOT_COUNT- it wasnt a horrible movie- there was just to many laughable holes in the story- 1.the vampires are teenagers- which is stupid- 2. the baseball scene is was just dumb- whats with the glitter effect when the sun hits'em- seriously?- they seemed like some goofy emo vamps - no style- you couldnt tell theyve live hundreds of years- they just brought no class to the characters- the movie was boring- it should of been some after school special shown on nick at night- the show Are you afraid of the dark was better- check out, interview with the vampire, the lost boys

not horrible

3 1/2 stars really- it wasnt a great masterpiece but it kept me wanting more- that is until 2 hours of what seemed like a live action video game that wouldnt end- my friends and i called it the never ending story...part3- visually it was awesome- mind blowing- because of that fact i was able to look past all the movie cliches it was throwing at me- at least there wasnt crazy comic relief through the whole film like transformers2- (witch was one of the worst movies ever made) but all and all i was entertained- it was mindless entertainment- there was no thinking required for this film at all- so if thats what your going for- go see it- you'll have fun

had high hopes-

director richard kelly made a cult classic with his first film- donnie darko- a brilliant movie- so coming into this film i had high hopes but i was a little weary- the original twilight zone episode that this film came from was called button, button- the whole thing took place in a small apartment- short simple and effective- this film got so twisted in 2 hours you just couldnt keep up with it- now by the end many things were explained- but still there were key factors to the plot that were touched and left- seeing the end made me feel like he was rushing to get there so he could show you this crazy climax- sure- he did- but there were just to many holes for me- im being nice with 2 stars- richard is kinda new- theres still hope
