I think this movie rings true to what Dickens was trying to convey. In addition the graphics/special effects were awesome. A lot of the bad reviews below are because people thought the movie to be dark and "scary". Come on, the movie's about a wicked old man that has to be re-taught the meaning of Christmas and charity to mankind. There are a number of unsettling scenes, but they're not out of place at all. Overall I think it's a great movie for everyone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
