Dark but good.

This movie follows the latest trend of movie remakes that are darker than the original or previous versions. The movie might not be a good idea for younger children due to the darkness and sudden volume changes that catches the viewer off guard. The visual effects were great, even in non-3D. The animation was very life-like almost to the point of having a hard time distinguishing whether it was live action or animation. I did not go into the movie with very high expectations because it is an old story and you know where it is going, and it is also Disney. I was not disappointed. The attention to detail was great and the story was not altered or modernized or distorted in any way. It was very enjoyable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
