Beware the hype

Visually, Avatar is a stunning movie. Unfortunately, it is also preachy and pretentious. Themes of greed and mass consumption, to the detriment of the environment and humanity in general, were conveyed in a much more subtle and tasteful way in Wall-E. I felt insulted by the end of Avatar (which couldn't come soon enough after 2 hours and 40 minutes).
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I'm 32 years old and I cried both times I screened this movie. It will melt even the coldest of hearts!
