This movie really impressed me. The storyline and effects were awesome! Jim Carrey did a great job depicting the characters on this classic story. I took my 6 year old and although she laughed at most of the scarier (visual) parts, I can see how it may be a little frightening at times. Though i wouldn't deter anyone from taking young children, just be prepared that there are some louder, scarier scenes.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
