The father is such a control feak, but it serves him well when his daughter is taken. Some of the action is a little over the top, but he doesn't do anything to unbelievable. He doesn't outrun the young guys, and he gets his share of injuries. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable movie.
The idea of game show questions being used to reveal aspects of someone's life is very clever. Despite the rawness of some parts of the movie, there are also many scenes that make you laugh. The scenes of poverty are stark and may be disproportionate, but it certainly makes you think. Definately worthy of an oscar nomination.
Nothing new or original in this movie at all. It was a combination of so many other movie plot lines that came before. The story was slow and labored and ultimately quite disappointing. The previews created far more promise than the movie delivered.
