A good rendition of the Dickens tale set apart by 3D sequences and Disney imagination. Some comedic elements lighten the dark story but the ghosts can be truely scary for small children. Action sequences done to maximize 3D effect and build drama in an otherwise predictable story. Carrey lends his particular style to the characters but in small accents rather than over the top clownishness.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
