The Spock and Uhura thing is pretty ridiculous, and Scottie is played way over the top. The bridge of the Enterprise is a little too generic for my tastes. Otherwise, I think they did a pretty good job. Now that this is out of the way I'm looking forward to new adventures.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
