Not Impressed....wait for Netflix

I am not going to recap what the others have said about the content and direction of the movie, it's fairly spot on. One good twist in this movie is they use science and religion together, which is a path few take. The movie is exactly on par with others like Paranormal Activity 3 and Blair Witch. If you didn't mind those movies, you won't mind this one. And yes, just like the other two movies the ending leaves you hanging. When the credits started to roll, my wife and I both stated "that's where they left it?". If you are waiting for a movie to rise above the shoulders of movies like Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch, this is NOT your movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

First of all, the previews shown online and on TV are not in the movie! Why a director would show scenes that may make the directors cut but not the actual movie is beyond me. Second, it really wasn't all that scary (and I am a wuss). Third, the movie is just plain sub-par, I went to this movie thinking the director would make up for the exceedingly week second movie and it just didn't happen. The whole idea of the prequel on top of a prequel thing was cool at first, but I find it hard to keep my interest with the story line because it is recycled. Seems like the directors are lacking new ideas and direction and just trying to make the quick buck over the first movies hype. Don't waste you time, the first movie was and still is the best. The directors need to step up their game. The movie theater however was awesome, and I highly recommend it!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
