I don't know what George was thinking when he read this script and decided it would be a good idea to make it into a movie. The entire story (what there was of one) could have been told in about 3 minutes. Lots of pretty countryside and Italian villages with George driving back and forth. Then we saw him sleeping several times. Several unnecessary sex scenes that I assume were included to keep us awake. This is a BAD MOVIE. Go see something else.
It wasn't the "falling out of your seat laughing" type movie, but good, solid fun. Jason Bateman did an excellent job being neurotic and Jennifer Anniston was Jennifer Anniston, which is okay, she'd good at it. The little boy was so cute and even Juliette Lewis did a good job. Jeff Goldblum was excellent and very understated. If you want to watch a fun movie, see this one.
It was funny and realistic. The actors all did a wonderful job. The two kids were great. The emotions were so genuine. It was nice to see a lesbian couple portrayed just like everyone else. They fight, they get annoyed with each other, they disagree, they even have affairs, but they love each other deeply. This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd - I thought it would be funny. I was wrong. It was just dumb. The few funny parts were in the trailer. I almost walked out.
No plot, juvenile humor, general silliness. That's about it. Maybe Will Farrell needs to take some time off and re-evaluate his career. Mark Wahlberg is too good an actor to have been in a bomb like this one. Take my advice, stay home.
Funniest movie I've seen in a long time. Non-stop laughs. Missed some of the lines because the audience couldn't stop laughing. Definately worth the cost of admission.
What a fantastic movie. The music was great, the characters were funny and the story line was hilarious. Other than a few instances where the thick British accent made it difficult to understand the dialogue, the movie was excellent.
With George Clooney and Jeff Bridges in two of the three key roles, this movie should have been better. I was disappointed. Most of the funny parts were in the trailers. It just never got off the ground.
This was the first movie my husband and I have walked out on in a long time. It was poorly written, poorly acted and neither romantic nor funny. I want my money back!!
