"I Love You"

My favorite line in the movie was when Edward told Bella, "Where I come from getting married is a way of saying, 'I love you.'"
I am an engaged woman of a certain age, and I thought this was so beautiful!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Down With Sexism!!!

I did not appreciate the way Tyler Perry demonized the psychologist. I would've liked for him to have explored WHY she was so controlling, instead of labeling her thus and then turning the husband into the victim. That was utterly sexist and spoiled the movie for me. Other than that, I enjoyed everyone's performance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I liked the way the different stories of the police officers intersected. Sure, it was gritty, but that's "the job."
Yes, I recommend this movie.

i went to see the movie with my teenager. I didn't even feel like I had been sitting there for 2 hours and 10 minutes. I thought only ONE hour had passed before Edward's proposal to Bella, which, of course, was the END! I can't WAIT util the next movie is released!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

An Important Movie

A question was raised as to whether America is "ready" to see a movie about an abused African-American teenage girl twice impregnated by her father. I believe this movie is an important movie because the theme crosses ALL cultures. I believe mothers should take their teens to see this movie so that the teens can compare and contrast their mothers with the mother in this film. Maybe they will see that it's not so bad that the only demands made on them by their mothers are to keep their rooms clean and do their homework!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
