I knew M Knight would ruin it

I knew the minute he signed on to direct, write, etc that it would be a huge nightmare. I am left dazed and confused and wondering if Book 2 & 3 would be done. The actors he picked to play the parts suck - they are weak as these characters. All of the good elements, Ang's humor, Katara's temper, and Sokka's weird humor - were all missing and I hated the delivery of all the characters in the movie. General Iroh was skinny (WTF)!!! Zuko's scar was all wrong, where was the ponytail,, the missing hair and charred skin that stood out like a sore thumb? Fire Lord Ozai -really, they chose that guy????? Even the pick for Azula seems lackluckster. The Katara they chose was horrible.
Besides the characters, the move was plain bad, the story was distorted into one of M Knight's bizarre fantasy's.,He claimed to be a big fan of the series and then butchered the movie. Changing the pronunciations of the characters name, bad writing for the story period? The graphics were cheap and bad. Next time let someone like Chris Weitz do it properly.
My daughter and I enjoyed the cartoon and still watch it, however, within 30 minutes she was ready to leave the theater.
I hate when I am right about these things, but my intuition told me the movie would be bad - and it was.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Better than Twilight

OMG - I am so glad they replaced the director. If Catherine Hardwicke did it again this movie would have completely suck. Best movie this year, can't wait to see what they do to Eclipse.
It kept so close to book, see it today - I can't wait to buy it.
BTW - Taylor Lautner, is beyond diesel!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
