Not for very young children!

I was pleased to see the script was very true to the Dickens novel, so much so that nearly all of the dialog was right out of the book -- which made it over the heads of most young children. Also, the opening scene with the ghost of Jacob Marley, and the scenes toward the end with the predictably sinister "Ghost of Christmas Future" were really quite frightening, and again, not for young children (under, say, 9 years old). So parents, be warned, even though this is animated, it's really not for the little ones.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
