Lewis Carroll's original 19th century satirical brilliance was altered to a Disney revisionist history 21st century English language action film fantasy. Brilliant costuming! 3-D was fun. Animation and Depp terrific. Mature Alice's sweet face was somewhat believable until she became a wonderful feminist warrior too kind to slay the dragon. Child Alice had a better visage. I'd like to see a film that re-created the 19th C version to show us about English history and more faithfulness to the original story. Where were the cards? Humpty Dumpty? It's a fantasy tool, not a teaching tool and today's Anglo youth and adult speakers need more history than histrionics. Fab blue butterfly at the end. Do catch it!
