I enjoyed reading the book. The movie for the most part stayed true to the book. It was a good movie with excellent acting and cinematography. Makes one want to get on the next plane to Italy.

I thoroughly enjoyed 'Aida', Encore HD live. What a wonderful production and superb performances. It was a special treat to see what goes on backstage, listen to the interviews with the performers and to learn little tidbits about the opera. I will definitely attend other 'The Metropolitan Opera HD Live' productions and have recommended it to all my friends.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
