Putting so much stress on the "fact" that the audio and video clips were all real did nothing but make it more and more difficult to believe. They tried a little too hard. Some of the subtitled parts towards the end also felt like they were just laying it on too thick. It wasn't enjoyable. Couldn't get into it.
I guess I got caught up in the hype, but I was severely disappointed. The majority of it was okay -- not exceptionally scary, but it definitely had my attention -- but they completely ruined that good thing they had going by falling back on some really half-hearted demonic possession hoo-hah. It felt like such a cop out. The first words out of my mouth at the end of the movie were literally "is that it? That's the whole thing?" I kept waiting for something that wasn't reminiscent of a cheap flash internet prank, but then the theater lights came on and I went home.
