As a mom, grandmom, and retired teacher, I was curious about how such a short but cute book could be turned into a movie, and I was very pleasantly surprised! The background story is timeless, enough of the original story is there to be recognizable, and the movie is terrific. If I hadn't seen the directors on a late night talk show, I wouldn't even have known about the movie. Where's the advertising???
Yes, I recommend this movie.
