Saw it with my 7,9,11 and 12 yr olds, didn't like it much, as an adult, it has a weak plot, a little AI, Robots, and others mixed in too much, no time to develop any real connection with the kid, they KILL the kid in the 1st part, NOT COOL for younger or emotional kids, major Dad/Son relationship issues, PG is appropriate, I little too dark for young ones. Nick Cage didn't really fit character except when being horrible to his kid. Animation was great. 9 yr old thought it was boring, and it was for the middle hour.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
