We took three of our granddaughters to see this movie. (16, 7, & 5) We shouldn't have. The movie is very slow. However, the characters are somewhat loveable if you work at it. The little boy worked very hard at keeping the movie alive, and is a good actor. The book was better, but not movie material. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, even as a renter. Rate as a D-
No, I do not recommend this movie.
