Beyond the visually mind-blowing look and feel of Avatar (in Imax 3D), some audiences question the integrity of the story and overall message it delivers. New age ideas set in a futuristic style with an age-old storyline aimed at current events may seem like a gamble for some moviegoers. Any other film with that kind of atmosphere would feel like being force-fed someone’s political views and beliefs. But throw in a huge production budget, elegant special effects, a brand new planet, cool new creatures, and a pair of fashionable 3D glasses, and you’ve got yourself a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. It may be just what we need after all, despite what side of the fence we’re sitting on.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
