How did this movie get such hype?

Could have napped for the first hour - nothing (and I mean NOTHING) happens except a few thuds and some bad acting. But even the last thirty minutes wasn't much. I've been FAR more scared watching an episode of Ghosthunters! Also, the hand-held camera (like Blair Witch) is just annoying. This might have been o.k. for a college student's film project - but NOT a feature film. Absolutely boring, silly and NOT scary. I predict it drops off the radar when true "word-of-mouth" outpaces the advertising hype.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
