Thought this was a kids movie...

I was really surprised by how dark this movie was. Since this was a book that I read as a child and read to my kids - I assumed that it would be meant for children so I took my 4 and 6 yr old - boy was I wrong. The movie was very complex and dark and was not fun at all. I am still confused on who this was mean for. My kids did not enjoy the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
