Great Movie - Not at all what I expected

I'm not a movie critique, but I was thoroughly entertained for 1.5 hours. Way different than I expected. I was expecting a live action kids movie with big cuddly creatures, more along the likes of Hook. Instead I got a deep movie about being a kid and dealing with all the problems of family. I would question if this was even meant for kids younger than 9 yr.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
