I had read this story to my children, and it was good, but very short. I was skeptical that they could get a decent story built around the book. I was very pleasantly surprised. Also, the 3-D technology is amazing. A long way from the red and blue 3-D glasses of old! The movie was entertaining and heartwarming. I enjoyed it just as much as my children. This was an enjoyable afternoon spent together with them.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Funny in parts, could've been better

Enjoyed the movie, but it moved slow in parts. I really thought it could have been better. I'd wait and rent it. It was funny, but missed the mark a little. Very predictable. I was really expecting Vince Vaughn to break out and do something really hillarious (I kept waiting for it, but was disappointed).
Overall, an enjoyable movie to watch at home.
