Excellent end to the 10 years series. Was glad they did ending as in books. Wonderful cast and a suprise appearence by another top brit actress! Saw it in a Fork and Screen theater in 3D. 3D was well done in that just added to apearence of film without being gimmicky. Whole theater got up and applauded at end. Great entertainment!
It's hard for me to explain how a animation studio could get it right so many times in a row except that Pixar carries on Disney's tradition in making entertainment that is a feast for the eyes and touches my heart. Saw it iMax 3D and though it is great to watch, this is the kind of work that does not really need it. How it touches your heart you don't need special glasses for. You only need the child in your heart. In short, go see it.
This was a visually stunning movie! A credit to the years of hard work of all involved. Saw it in 3D iMax which should be how you should try to see it if you can. Wished i had not had those two cups of coffee before because it's pretty long. Though I knew the basic plot already but was written a little better than I thought so it held my attention as the 2+ hours flew by. Right movie for this time of more awareness of global climate change and corporate disconnect from the common man. Good start to the new decade.
This is a wonderful film that not only continues JK’s story but reflects the times I remember being a teenager and becoming more and more involved with girls. It is not like other Potter films it does not have a happy ending. Reminds me very much of another film years back called “The Empire Strikes Back”. Characters develop and the story moves forward and you are left wanting more. A perfect film to ready us for the final two films. A big well done! to the young actors and film makers!
Saw this movie on a Saturday afternoon in the local IMax Theater. The CG effects and battles where dizzying. It was hard to focus on what was happening so much so I was exhausted at the end of the film. In my party of four was a young boy and when I glanced over to see how he was enjoying his mouth was usually hanging open so I guess this movie was designed for his age group. Personally I had fun with it but my wife and I repeatedly would look at each other and say “what a silly film” as many of the characters would be saying pretty silly stuff. Fun for kids, good for the Toy Company, ok with popcorn but nothing to rave about.
Went to see this movie after seeing a number of my Facebook friends saying it was so funny so my wife and I saw it last night and they where right. Would recommend this movie for some great laughs. Appears to be a great ad for getting wild in Las Vegas which is no secret but a very orginal take on a wild night out with the boys before a wedding. Great acting and writing at the very least it made me smile most of the way through. Buy yout tickets here and go see it folks!
An OK entertaining film but I found this one a bit disappointing. They took many liberties from the book and left out what could have been some real wow scenes. I’m thinking the reason for this is it may have come off as more of a Sci FI movie than a thriller but I none the less missed those scenes. Good performances by all Ok popcorn movie. Not the Da Vinci code but they did stay close to the solving of the puzzle in the book. Hate that they make it a sequel to DC as it happened before in the books so there are new scenes altogether to justify that. If ya read the book you may not like this one or should wait for the DVD and save you money for many other summer hits coming but if your interested in being solidly entertained go for it.
Ok, here's the thing. I'm sure others here will talk about the movie and it's plot in general so I'll leave that to them. I want to talk about the IMax experience. The picture is crystal clear and huge but the sound, oh man is just great. This movie's soundtrack is just great with a lot of period music and classic rock. What stays with me is a Jimi Hendrix tune that we all where just enveloped in the sound. Go see this movie BUT you must see it in IMax as it really is what movies need to be as a standard in all showings. Imax way beyond home theater for those of us on a budget. Could ya maybe throw in a snack with the ticket price though?
