Reminicent of great movies past

If you loved the book, you'll love this movie. IF you have never heard of Where the Wild Things Are, then you might not know what is going on at first and not quite understand the plot, but if you have any sense about you, you'll fall in love and want to go read the book.
What truly made me happy about this film is that they not only had Sendack's (the book's author) blessing, they used live action wild things with only cgi for their faces. Jim Henson's creature shop made the wild things and it really was honest and gave the sense that these creatures were really real. It took me back to great movies such as Labyrinth and the only real complaint I have is that I wanted more!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
