I admit first that I'm a die-hard Gerry Butler fan. The promos were fascinating and roped me right in. This was such a departure for Gerry; a true anti-hero that you still want to root for. I loved everything about this movie except the ending. I get so tired of seeing Gerry die at the end of his movies. Jamie Foxx was, as someone else noted, wooden and so out of touch with his family it was a stretch to even pretend that they were a family. I loved the device of a secret tunnel and "workshop" right under the prison. As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold. this one must have been delicious!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
