Did a very good job touching on all the points in the book and adding a few extra. Didn't change it up as much as I expected but there also was a little more comedy than i'd expected. They definately downplayed Alice's fashion senses and made her dress sort of old ladyish. They made Jasper look weird, sort of villanous, not nearly as hot looking in New Moon as he was in Twilight. Edward was super sexy, as usual, but looked a little over makeuped and overdressed in some parts.
I'm going to see it again in Texas over Thanksgiving!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
