I think Suzanne Collins should be proud of how they stayed so true to the story from the actors lines to the flare of the Capitol Citizens. Slight changes were made to condense the film length and to pull the story together better for the non readers. I liked the acting, none of it was overdone, it felt true. The cinematography had that raw footage quality at times allowing for confusion and anxiety to build during a violent or climactic part without the need for over the top graphics. I am a huge Hunger Games Fan and look very much forward to Catching Fire and MockingJay!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
