Entertaining, different, and much better than most of the garbage coming out of Hollywood these days. Yes, it has clowns vs. ninjas. Don't take it too seriously, enjoy it for what it is -- a violent and stylish ninjas vs. cowboys mashup with good acting, interesting visuals, and a story that doesn't suck.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Met Opera is excellent as always, and the transmission to the cinema had only one hiccup which was much better than last time. They're getting their act together, excellent!

The Met production was excellent (five stars). However, the HD presentation had issues. There were occasional broadcast hiccups (signal cutting out for 0.5-2sec), and the director was determined to show the singers' tonsils with his zooms. I recommend seeing it live instead of in the theater -- but if you're on a budget, $24 is a lot more affordable than $200!!!
