Throughout the movie, the couple bickers, which is part of the negativity fueling the paranormal activity. However, I found their bickering annoying, especially one of the characters inability to "listen" and take the situation seriously. The ending hits hard, and I found it much scarier than the entire movie. Although I recommend that you not spend your money seeing this in the theater, it will make for excellent DVD viewing during a dark and rainy night; just make sure not to see it alone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
