This film has a clever (if somewhat controversial) central theme, and proved to be more entertaining than I first expected. The early scenes playing out the 'brutal honesty' are refreshingly funny, and Gervais's character is well observed.
The cast is impressive, with Jennifer Garner, Tina Fey & Rob Lowe. Fans will also spot the brief appearances by Stephen Merchant & "Barry from Eastenders" (both as seen on "Extras" with Gervais).
For those who take their faith seriously & are easily offended by films which poke fun at it's absurdities, you would be advised to choose something else!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
