this movie was everything i expected and more. it brought back memories of reading the story as a kid, it made me laugh, cry, and shiver.
as far as the 3D vs. the regular screening is concerned, you can definitely see this without the 3D and not lose much. being that it's live action with mostly real people and not as much cgi, the effect is mildly lost. although if you want to get the full experience out of it, the money you spend to see the 3D will be worth it!

absolutely hilarious blend of gore, guts and mild romance, and the secret actor that they don't show you in the previews made it one million times better!
i was jumping and laughing at the same time throughout this movie, and the ending couldn't have been better.
i would buy this, even the extended uncut special features costs 10 dollars more dvd.
