I did not have any idea what was in store when I sat down to see Avatar, and was blown away by the visual imagery and effects. While the story line is nothing innovative and somewhat predictable, the imaginative creatures, brilliant colors and dramatic scenery were incredible. I originally bought 3D tickets, but when I arrived only 1st row seats were left, so I opted to see a later "regular" version. I would see it again just for the 3D experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
