cute premise, everyone has to tell the truth, lying hasn't been invented. one guy figures out how to lie. which is sort of interesting but the movie tries to take on waaaaay too much, getting into religion, bringing back a very tired Jesus stereotype, etc. and it didn't end well. i love jennifer garner but her character was totally shallow and spineless. for the main character mark (gervais) to be in love with her and supposedly have this ability to see through to the heart of her is just silly, she gives no indication that she is a sweet caring person like he insists. so that part was really unrealistic too. to summarize... cute concept, poor execution, weak and trite ending. not worth it. rent it on netflix if anything.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
