We went to see Ice Age 3 on opening day because my kids had been looking forward to it so much. I wish we had waited for the video! This movie doesn't stand up to the first two plot-wise at all. It's all about piling on more and more - bigger monsters, bigger perils, peurile plot. Plus, there's too much "mushy love stuff" even in the comic relief (Scrat) parts according to my 6 year old. It didn't hold my 2 1/2 year old's attention at all. Overall, it's just for the kids, and just if you have the $$$ to blow.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
