My dad and I both love violent action films. But there was more horribly acted, dry plot than explosions which I was guaranteed. The humor was terrible. The effects were crap, In the final fight scene after a large explosion I could honestly see the crappy special effects of where fire and smoke was placed. I saw this a lot. The bloody scenes were also mostly fake with special effects. It made everything look very unrealistic. I've got nothing wrong with using special effects in place of the real deal, but perhaps they find someone else for their CGI.
I didn't have high hopes for the acting, but I did for the violence and explosions. Even the girl we purchased our tickets from was trying to show off that she saw the movie alone rather than with a husband, boyfriend, or dad. Here I am with my father. She sounded like this movie was full of explosion after explosion.
Anyway, I don't know what I'm missing here that makes everyone love this movie so much. It's crap, my dad even said it's one of the worst movies he's ever seen.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
