Shear Genius!

I was ambivalent about seeing the movie because I'd seen the play over 25 years ago. although I thought the story line of the play was good, as an African American female I did not like how it made me feel. I felt emotionally drained, and I thought I would feel that way again.
Tyler Perry did a superb job of integrating the poetry with the movie story line, I was amazed by the flow of the movie and how there really is six degrees of separation for most relationships.
I was overwhelmed by emotion still, but I could handle it better now that I'm 50 and not 25. This was by far Tyler Perry's greatest work and Loretta Devine, Thandie Newton and Kimberly Elise were extremely affective in their roles.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Although I am an ardent fan of Will Ferrell and Tina Fey, the story line was kind of boring. I admit it had a different twist, but I had trouble staying awake and my grandson (3 1/2), who is my regular movie buddie, fell asleep and slept the whole movie. He has never done this, and he's seen every kid movie available since he was born, the first being Shrek 3 and he was only 3 months old.
Anyway, I was very disappointed, particularly after all the hype over the movie. Despicable me was by far the greatest movie ever by Dreamworks.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I'm a big fan of Toy Story 1 and 2, but this one follows the same great writing as the first two. I think I was more excited about seeing it than my 3 year old grandson. We had a great time and there were even a few surprises. Excellent, I will see it again and buy it as well!!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, I kept thinking I was reliving the old days of Miami Vice and the muchlater version and played out Miami CSI. The actors that played the characters did a great job, but the plot needs some serious work. You already know either there will be a sequel or a tv drama made to order.
I would only recommend it for the shear entertainment, it was funny which was a surprise.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I consider myself a huge Tyler Perry fan, but this movie truly was not up to his norm. There was soooooo............ much fighting and insanity that I felt it was a turn off. The first movie was shear genius with balance, but this one left no room for normalcy. Although life can be unpredictable this was just unbelievable. I was very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then at the end, I was insulted with the thought of Dewayne Johnson with Janet Jackson........Sorry the chemistry just doesn't ring true for me.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
