I'm a big fan of Drew Barrymore and thought that for her directorial debut, she did an excellent job with this movie. The first 15 minutes of the movie are a bit slow, but it still holds your interest as you find out about the characters. The roller derby scenes were great, and did not take over the movie. Go see Whip It, you will not be disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
