The first Transformers did not try too hard to please the preteens and crossed over to be a movie adults would like. This sequel was one stupid joke after another. Dogs humping dogs; tiny, annoying robots humping legs; stupid parents; and ridiculous posing by under-sexed girls makes this movie hard to feel comfortable sitting in the theater to watch.
Chris Nolan presents something here on screen that goes beyond a summer action popcorn movie. Of course with the Joker being the ultimate villian, it is hard to go wrong (something Tim Burton did in the 80s with extreme success). Ledger and Nicholson equally protrayed the character well. Burton's and Nolan's take on the Batman and Joker battle now share as my best movie(s) ever.
Edward Norton's best scenes were during his CGI enhanced self. I really felt nothing from his performance. The only thing that made this movie any good was Tim Roth and Robert Downey Jr's cameo.
This movie is the most frustrating movie I have seen in a long time. I wanted so much more. Harrison Ford limps through this movie and his supporting cast looks like they are wishing they were somewhere else.
